Here we come 30 weeks!!!!

Far Along?  29 Weeks, 6 Days!  In a couple days, I will be in single digit weeks until Ledoux gets here!!!  Eeek!  So scary, but also exciting... and this also means single digit weeks until Lee gets home!! And that is 100% nothing but exciting!

Total weight gain/loss:Not sure on the totals- my weight has fluctuated this week by a pound each way, so I am saying +9... but I will have a more accurate count on Tuesday when I go to the doctor.  I have a feeling it may be closer to +10, but it is def. all baby.

Maternity clothes? Loving them, and there are so many cute maternity places out there!  With 2 months to go though, I am not buying much more (unless maybe I get a dress for my babyque) :)

Stretch marks? Yep, its there, and now it has a friend.  They are both really small, and on the under part of my belly so you really can't notice them, but I can.  Just putting as much cocoa butter on my belly as I can to make sure they stay and don't grow (or bring more evil stretch mark friends)

Size of Baby (in produce)? - Over 3 pounds (3.2), and the size of a butternut squash.

Sleep: ahhh sleep, I love sleep.  and sleep is still good.  except for waking up to pee, which according to my husband should be 3-4 times a night (thats what he read) i am sleeping so good.  I actually slept 11 hours again this Friday.  feels so good.  I am going to enjoy this, because I hear that the further along I get, the harder sleep is due to being uncomfy.

Best moment this week:  Got a great opportunity at work and will be morphing into a new role, in charge of employee development for my company!  Its all new- so I am still trying to figure out exactly what my role will be, but it sounds like its really up to me to make it what it will be!  A little stressed that I have less than 2 months left at work to figure out my new role and get my team up and running, but it will all work itself out.  I decided the end of July- either July 2oth or 27th) will be my last day because I am going to take vacation before baby comes to spend with lee (depending on when he gets home).  I am also happy because my benefits change on July 1st, and although we have to pay more for the actual hospital bill (10% of total bill), I also will not lose any pay while on leave- thanks to my company paying 60% and California being one of the only states that also pays short term disability for maternity leave (55%)... so technically, I will make 15% more while i am on leave for 3 months.  Wahoo!  That is officially the first (and only) thing I like about the state of California. :)

Miss Anything?  lee.  being that it is memorial day weekend, I can tell you EXACTLY what lee and I would be doing- yesterday we would have went on an all day harley ride and stopped at every bar on the way for a drink... and today, we would be sitting in the backyard with a pitcher of home made margaritas, listening to Zac Brown (or maybe some Chris Ledoux) and enjoying having nothing to do. Ahhh i will miss those days.  we will find a way to still be able to do those things, it will just have to be a little more planned and less spontaneous.

Movement: yep, moving and grooving in there.  I still feel like she doesn't move enough, but thats my just being crazy I am sure.  I have a doc appointment on Tuesday, and that is on my list of questions (along with about 5 others!)

Food cravings: What is it with milk?  Holy cow- no pun intended there.  I am seriously going through milk like crazy!  I should add milk to my baby registries to save me some money lol.

New Additions? I got my first official baby shower gift in the MAIL from my Target registry!!!!!!! WAHOOOO!!!!  Thanks mom and dad!!!
Got my Stroller/Carseat combo!!!!!
Look how small her diapers are!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Have you started to show yet:  i swear it grew so much from last week to this week.

Gender: Girl!(We get to see her face in 2 weeks!)

Pregnancy related gripes? Not alot, other than my belly has started aching after getting off the treadmill.  I think it is starting to get a little heavy, so its time for me to take down my speed and intensity a little bit on there.

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In (but boy is it shallow...!)

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: It was a good week this week- Lee, correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think I had a freak out or cry session this week...did I?  Maybe one small little thing, but overall, I would say I did pretty good!

Looking forward to: The Babyque!!! and seeing Doodle!!!

Other news?  Nesting is in full effect- I cleaned the upstairs yesterday (like major deep cleaning!) and the downstairs today.  We are talking doors, base boards, bathrooms, floors, windows... I just can't stop!  I think knowing that my babyque is in a couple of weeks might also be a motivating factor to have my house sparkling clean.  Oh!  And now that I have landscapers come every Monday (thanks honey bunny!) I have new motivation to make my backyard looks awesome!  I have been busy decorating, and bought a bad ass outdoor papasan chair from Pier1 this weekend...soooooo comfy.  being outside it one of my new favorite things!

I found some fun old pics that made me smile this week :)

5 Years ago, Lee's trip to Wyoming
Our first dance the night we met!
Over 5 years ago- We built a snowman- it was our first child- LJ (Lee Junior!)

Almost 29 weeks!

The belly is getting BIGGER!
Far Along?  28 Weeks, 6 Days!  Can't believe I am this far along already... where does the time go?!?!

Total weight gain/loss: Gained a pound since my doctor visit- so +9 right now.  For third trimester (and almost 29 weeks) I am pretty ok with this!

Maternity clothes?Yep yep yep!  Lots of cute maternity tops, and I get some maternity tank tops that are long enough to go over my growing belly.  Still no official maternity pants.

Stretch marks? Had a minor freak out session this morning when I spotted the first official stretch mark. Its very small (no longer than a dime) and barely noticeable since its on the bottom of my belly, but I cried a little.  I know, i know, its going to happen, but i really wanted to make it through with none.  cocoa butter use has been stepped up since i found this little booger.

Size of Baby (in produce)? - size of a cabbage, 17 inches long, weights 3 pounds or so

Sleep: sleeping good- sleeping better than ever actually.  I got my snoogle in (or whatever the pillow is called) and it is beyond ahhhhmazing.  i never thought having this pillow would make such a huge difference, but it is beyond wonderful.  it supports my belly, my back, and my head, and my back hasn't hurt hardly at all this week!

Best moment this week:  This week was ok- atleast the work week was.  Lots of things going on at work, good things! :)  Thats all I can say about that...we went bowling on friday afternoon and Ledoux and I bowled a 144- which is my best score EVER!  It may or may not have been because I was sober... I have started re-decorating my patio so it looks awesome for the babyque party.  very, very excited.  I also had my glucose test the end of last week and all is well!  I am not surprised- I really wasn't that worried about it (especially since I haven't had hardly any sweets!)

Miss Anything? my husband of course. and i would have died for some cold sangria this weekend- it has been really warm outside and that would have been the perfect addition to a hot day.  I also really missed riding the harley with lee- i saw so many people out riding this weekend and i really miss that!!!!  some of my favorite recent memories are riding on the harley with lee.

Movement: Oh yes- the doctor told me to start counting kicks, she should be kicking 10 times an hour- and sometimes I dont count 10... which worries me a little but as long as I feel her move , im sure its fine.  I have an appointment next week, so I will talk to her about it then.

Food cravings:Milk.  I cannot get enough milk.  I went through 3 of those half gallons this week.

New Additions? Nothing new for baby Ledoux- just waiting until after the baby shower to see what we need to buy.  Fingers crossed I get alot of the stuff I need at the shower!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Have you started to show yet:  Belly is getting bigger by the minute I feel like- I literally woke up one morning and i swear my belly grew by leaps and bounds over night.

Gender: Girl! (Although I have been having crazy dreams the baby comes out a boy?!?!)

Pregnancy related gripes? This week is the first time I have had an swelling- not alot, but my feet have been swelling up.  I was at an event for work Thursday and was on my feet most of the day, and when I took my shoes off for a second, I couldnt get them back on they were so swollen.  Other than that, not alot else- my back is much better this week thank goodness.  It is getting harder to do the usual things- like cleaning the house, etc. because I get so winded and tired so fast.  I can't tell where my ribcage ends and she begins anymore.

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: The work week was ok, I got sad this morning because i got a little overwhelmed- it was just a morning where I could have used an extra hand to help me out with some stuff... but i am holding up ok.  every week that goes by, it gets harder to be alone without lee.  I am ready to have someone here for help- not just around the house and stuff, but just someone to talk to and be my support system.

Looking forward to: The Babyque, and the long holiday weekend next weekend!  So excited to relax for three days and do nothing (but work on Ledoux's baby book and decorate the nursery a little).  Oh and I am excited about the 4-d ultrasound to see Little doodle's face!!!

Other news?  This week was pretty uneventful :)  and at this stage, I am totally fine with that!
Hey dad!  Missing you!

Happy Mother's Day!

2.5 pound head of cauliflower in there!

Far Along?  27 Weeks, 6 Days!  Another week down (and another week closer to Ledoux!!)

Total weight gain/loss: I didn't weigh myself today- I was only able to work out 3x this week so I don't want to know... but I don't think I gained much (if anything).  Still +8 as of last week.

Maternity clothes? Loving Maternity shirts- and I think some of these shirts will be cute after Ledoux comes too!  They are so long and I can wear them with comfy leggings- it works perfectly.  Still no maternity pants which makes me happy.

Stretch marks? ZERO!

Size of Baby (in produce)?  Head of Cauliflower- 16 inches, 2.5 pounds or so.

Sleep: This week has been good- sleeping like a rock.  Yesterday I actually slept 11 hours!  I feel like I am entering my first trimester again because of how tired I have been... and the constant pee breaks are back.  Oyyy.  I really hate getting up 3 or 4 times at night to pee.

Best moment this week:  Officially committed to having a baby shower!  I was really unsure about having one- I just don't like the idea of having a bunch of people come over because they feel like they have to, and play a bunch of baby games.  Butttttttt we are having a Baby-que (complete with pre-mixed drinks in mason jars!) and will be bbqing and hanging out outside on a Saturday afternoon- now I am excited.  It will be a babyshower, but a fun one (that isn't lame!)  I really want people to WANT to come and have fun, and not feel like they have to come. So it will be less babyshowerish, and more fun party/hangout ish. And its not just for girls! Husbands and boyfriends can come too!  I just wish Lee was going to be here... :(  Now... I just need to get our yard in order, golly its a mess back there since Lee left.  Luckily, we are hiring a landscaper to clean it up!  My dear friend Heidi is the party planner, so i know we are in good hands!
For the Baby-Que!

Miss Anything? My honey.  Duhhh.  No real alcohol cravings this week, so I just miss Lee.

Movement: Pretty much all the time.  She is getting stronger too- my belly is popping up and down alot.  This week, I was laying in bed on my back, and I was watching her (its my new favorite pastime, i call it playing with the baby) and like to wiggle my tummy to get her to move.  Well this week, she must have had her hand or her foot right beneath my belly button, because she kept kicking it (or punching) it over and over- all you could see was my belly button getting pushed up.  I was laughing hysterically- not sure if it was because i thought it was funny, uncomfortable, or freaking me out.  I suppose it was a combo of all of those.

Food cravings: Nothing crazy this week- its been a pretty normal week in terms of food.

New Additions? I got the changing table pad and cover for Ledoux from Potterybarn Kids, its a nice light pink color and i like it.  Other than that, no other baby things.  I am waiting until after the baby shower to see what else we need and will start shopping then.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Have you started to show yet:  For sure.

Gender: Girl!

Pregnancy related gripes? My back is taking a beating.  Actually, its my nerve- it has been awful this week.  On Friday, I could barely walk up to stairs to bed it hurt so bad.  Its hard to bend over, sit down, stand up- everything.  Today it is feeling better though.  I stayed off my feet all day yesterday and it feels so much better today.  I wasnt able to work out my full 4x this week though because of it.  Sigh.  I ordered a pregnancy pillow yesterday that I heard can help, fingers crossed!
Looks like heaven! Can't wait to try it out!

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: I was ok this week actually. I think my Tucson trip really helped me de-stress.

Looking forward to: My Babyque!!!! Hooray!  And I am getting a 4-d ultrasound done that morning so we can see Ledoux's face (will she have a butt chin like her daddy, and a little pig nose like me?!)  We will see soon!

Other news?  My fabulous friends from work brought my flowers and made me card of Friday, AND they brought me to breakfast this morning (and more flowers!)!  So thankful to have them- it really made my week (probably my month actually!) THANK YOU!

Here we come 3rd Trimester!

Hanging out in Tucson!
Far Along?  26weeks, 6 days!  So pretty much 27 weeks, which means I am OFFICIALLY  3rd trimester tomorrow... whoa.  Depending on what book/source you read, I was 3rd trimester last week... but for sure tomorrow.  EEK.  Only 12 weeks until 40 weeks, which means only 9 weeks until I am full term (37 weeks)!  That is a little bit scary/nerve wracking/exciting.

Total weight gain/loss: +8 pounds according to my doctor appointment.  And my NP actually congratulated me, and said I am  doing way better than most of the other patients they have.  I have no doubt all 9 of those pounds are baby and baby related stuff, and this makes me VERY happy!

Maternity clothes?  Still no maternity pants, but I love maternity shirts.  My belly is getting bigger, and the problem I am running into is alot of my other clothes aren't log enough, and maternity shirts are.  and leggings are my new bff.

Stretch marks? NO!

Size of Baby (in produce)?  This week she is a cucumber (around 2.5 pounds) and can be as long as 15 inches.  I am still trying to figure out how she is that long in there- she must be rolled up or something.

Sleep:  No major issues.

Happy Bday Daddy!
Best moment this week:  Getting out of town to Tucson was a MUCH needed break from San Diego this weekend.  Even though I didn't get in until late Friday afternoon and got back early Sunday afternoon, having a day and a half away was nice.  My whole family was in Tucson (and I really don't remember the last time both my brothers and I were in the same place at the same time...) so it was nice to see everyone again.  We didn't do anything too crazy either- which was double nice.  Went to dinner for Cinco De Mayo (and in Tucson, there is no shortage of YUMMY mexican food!), and did one of my favorite things: Casino time!  I lost major and didn't have Lee to pull me away from my favorite machine- the Hangover- so I ended up in the hole...not telling you how much I lost, but it was less than $81.  My mom however ended up +$100 so dinner was on her that night. :)  It was just nice to leave San Diego, which has become a very stressful place for me--because here I am by myself, on my own, working, etc.  In Tucson, I am away from all the worries.
Miss Anything? Tucson was not the same without Lee- everytime we have went, Lee and I have spent all of our time by the pool/in the pool, listening to Zac Brown and drinking Coronas (or PBR for him! )  We have this awesome bar/grill we go to called Sirvezas and we kept driving by it.. just reminded us that Lee wasn't there.  Everyone felt a major void not having him there- not only me, but my parents too.  Just wasn't the same.

Movement: Of course- Dad got to see one of Ledoux's kicks (or punches) on Saturday which was kind of cool.  He is the first person to actually see her move in person.

Food cravings:  Nothing really, although my dad did make me my favorite thing EVER- a dessert called scotcheroos- just imagine rice krispies, peanut butter, chocolate and butterscotch all put together in a pan.  Its heaven.  I brought some home with me- sooo good.

Pregnancy related gripes? Round ligament pain from all the stretching going on, and my nasty sciatic nerve has been acting up alot.  It hurts so bad when I try to carry something or even bend over- ugh.  This needs to subside, I do not want this continuing the next 12 weeks- I got stuff to do!

New Additions? I got Ledoux's wall letters (see previous post) and got about $100 worth of scrapbooking stuff so I can get started on her baby book.  My parents made a baby book for me that started when I was born, and kept EVERYTHING in it.  I want Ledoux to have that too- only I am starting now, scrapbooking pictures of the house, the doggies and Hulkman, our cars, our favorite things, etc.  and will keep it for her until i don't know when.  Long into her toddler days for sure (probably up til atleast Kindergarten!)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Have you started to show yet:  Oh yes.  Although I have heard from people that I don't look as big as they thought I would... such nice people to say that, they must have either read my blog (see the post called "what not to say to a pregnant person" )or they have known someone preggo before and know what to say!

Gender: Girl!

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? Still in, I don't think its going to pop out.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: another nasty week- and by nasy, I simply mean up and down.  I am confident that as soon as Lee gets home, this will not be the case.  But since there is no sign of him coming home anywhere in the near future, I just need to deal.  There are alot of major life decesions going on right now- and trying to make these while being so far away and limited communication takes its toll on us both.  We are just trying to make the best decesions for Ledoux- but gosh, I feel like Lee and I have the weight of the world on our shoulders right now.  It will all work out in the end- and I am confident that no matter where life takes us in the next 6 months, year, 3 years, we will be fine because we have each other.  (Thank god!) Sometimes it just seems like when it rains, it pours.

Looking forward to: My glucose test this Friday... not :)

Other news? Baby is all good per my doctor appointment this week.  her little heart is beating like crazy (which is always reassuring!)  The doctor gave me my pre-registration stuff for the hospital, and thats when this became REAL!  I even said to her "so I guess this is really gonna happen, hunh?"  (Of course, I was joking...)  My poor doctor doesn't know how to take me I don't think... as she looked a little concerned that this was just now hitting me.  I also asked her if I got have wine in my 3rd trimester, and she said YES!  She said a glass or two a week is no biggie if I want to have some to relax.  Wahoo!  I think I will wait until the 30 week mark to have my first glass, but I am pretty freaking excited about this.
A rare picture of our cat- Hulkman- saying hi to dad!

A new purchase!

Pretty excited about Ledoux's new wall letters- so I had to share!

Only 3 months to go!!!
