Happy Halloween from Ledoux!!!

Happy Halloween!  I wanted to share a couple pictures from our make shift photoshoot yesterday!  I always wanted to put a newborn in a pumpkin, and this was my chance! Suprisingly, Ledoux cooperated for most of it! Lee and I enjoyed our pumpkin beer while snapping pics in our front yard (actually, I enjoyed my pumpkin beer.  Lee doesn't like it but I forced him to have one so he could get into the fall/pumpkin/halloween mood!)  Can't wait to share pictures of Ledoux's first Halloween in a couple of days.. we have quite the family costume!  Enjoy!

My baby is 2 months old today!

Well, my little baby is 2 months old!  Where on earth has the time gone?  It makes me so sad that she is growing up so fast!  Today, we had to get her 2 month immunizations (5 total) and it broke my heart to see her cry.  I now officially understand what people mean when they say they would rather take the pain then see their child cry... how true!  I teared up when they were giving her shots!  She weights 11.5 pounds today, and is slightly about average in her height and her head (no suprise her dome is bigger than the norm!) It is so amazing how much she has changed and 'come to life' these last couple weeks...everyday she changes or learns something new.  This mommy stuff is actually pretty awesome!

Eating: My little baby is right where she is supposed to be in weight (50th percentile) which means she is eating just fine!! I am still breastfeeding exclusively and it is going just fine!  I am a little worried about how it will work when I go back to work... but I will cross that bridge when I get there!

Sleeping: Going great!  This week we transitioned her into sleeping on her own and out of our bed- and she's doing great!  She sleeps from about 9 pm until usually 5 am, and then after I feed her/change her dipey, she goes back to sleep until about 9:00 am.  Ahhhsome!  She also takes an afternoon nap, usually around 12:30 or 1, and up to around 3:30 or 4.

Health: Doctor said she is doing great!  wahoo!  I already knew that, but it always feels good for the doctor to tell us she is doing wonderful!

Likes: She LOVES her sheep mobile still, 'talking' to us (she makes a sound and I mimic it back to her, and she gets the BIGGEST smiles on her face!), daddy's songs (he makes up some pretty good ones!), going on walks, our morning trips to starbucks, and taking naps on my chest.  She also loves her pajamas- I have a serious problem with baby pjs, I can't stop buying them!!!  Good thing she likes them! :)  I think she also really likes walking around target with me... but that might just be me and wishful thinking.

Ledoux and her mobile, and one of her cute PJs!
Dislikes: She hates her pacifier.  I thought we had made some headway on this, but she refuses to have anything to do with it.  She also doesn't like it when Lee or I are outside of her line of sight...if we move to where she can't see us, she starts crying.  She also hates when we come to a stop when we are driving.  She starts screaming. But as soon as the car starts moving, she is quiet and happy as a clam.

                                                                 Going on a walk!

Outings: We go everywhere!  No worries anymore- if she cries, she cries.  NBD.  I bring her to the mall, to target, grocery shopping, walking, lunch...I am finally confident enough to bring her out and about without freaking out that she will cry or I won't know what to do to calm her.  I got this! :)

Smiles! and cute pjs of course!

Visitors: Most of our friends and immediate family have met her!

Ledoux's firsts: Ledoux went to the beach with daddy for the first time!  So stinking cute!  She also is going on her first road trip tomorrow!

How are mommy and daddy? We are doing good!  We have a great babysitter, so we went on another date last weekend which was great!  Having a night 'off' every other week is exactly what I need!  I am starting to creep closer to going back to work, which kills me!  I miss work, but I feel so guilty leaving her, especially after spending 24/7 with her for 3 months.  Gosh I don't know how people do it!  I obviously don't have the luxury of staying at home, but the day I go back to work is going to be the hardest day ever!

And now, I will leave you with the MANY faces of our little Ledoux!
